Guide on Onsite optimization for SEO

1. Well structure your pages.
2. Optimize your each page for SEO.
3. Linking your pages together.

Structure your website by theme and topic. Remember that Google allotes page rank to individual pages, not to a whole site. Hence decide the topics and keywords of your pages and optimize your each webpage for particular topic or keyword. The main idea is to separate your website content into different pages by topic.

Create more pages with content.

If your page topic is large and page is long enough, it would be better to break long page into a more pages. It will benefit you in number of pages, as well as user friendly site navigation, As no visitors like to scroll down long page. Keep page as short as single paper of A4 size.

Website with more pages with less content in each page would be better than website with less pages with full of content. Here also don’t forget to each page to particular topic. Increasing number of pages would not only help you if they are not filled with real rich content. Pages like “About us”, “Contact Us” etc, would be at lower page rank, so keep them separate from your theme pages. Don’t create similar pages more times just to increase page rank, otherwise it will be considered as spam.

Always remember that google is smarter then you can think, you should never try to fool googlebot, if any thing you do wrong, google will soon find out it and will put your page rank at bottom.

Keep your site as simple as possible. Don’t use too much media file like images, videos, animations, JavaScript etc, as Google will only follow the Pure text content that is visible to visitor. If it is necessary to put images, animation then don’t ignore to use “alt”, “title” parameters of HTML tags. They can be used to put keywords into.

Your site must follow the standard structure of website and should consider about pages given below.

1. Home page.
2. Your main product/services pages (each targeted to particular topic)
3. FAQ
4. Sitemap. ( include links of all the pages of your website for easy navigation of your site)
5. About us page
6. Contact us page.
7. Testimonial page ( if necessary)
8. Copyrights, privfacy policy page.

Other rules:

* Don’t nest your pages too deeply. Must not have links deep more then 3 levels.

* Don’t use advanced HTML editors to write your content (like ms word), use as simple editor as possible to keep your HTML code neat and clean.

* Don’t use JavaScript or any other scripting to write data to page that you want to be considered in Google search, as search bot ignores such script. use only HTML codes.

* Stay away from iframes, frames, flash etc…
