When Google Will Update Next PR ?

May 24th, 2011 2 comments

Google PR is one of the most important factors that the webmasters would be interested in. And by this time I think even the beginners would be aware of what PR (Page rank) is. If I frame for you in simple terms it adds value to the search engine result pages (SERP). Though it is not the only factor that enhances the performance but backlinks, content, how old the domain is, its popularity all are taken into consideration.

Google gives PR on the scale of 1-10. PR 1 being the least famous and important as compared to PR 10 which is more famous and important in the eyes of Google. Just have a look at the schedule below:

Google PageRank Update Schedule for the year 2010 –

Last PageRank (PR) Update 31 December 2009
First 2010 PageRank (PR) Update 31 March – 3  April 2010
Second 2010 PageRank (PR) Update 30 June – 7  July 2010
Third 2010 PageRank (PR) Update 31 September – 7 October 2010
Fourth 2010 PageRank (PR) Update 31 December – 19 January 2011

Thus from the above table we can surely make some assumptions. Like if you study it carefully you can come on a conclusion that Google goes for a PR updates 4 times a year. These are all the major updates like updating the PR of the sites that already have PR 2, 3 and above. While there are also some more updates every month for new sites.

Why google has changed the PR update schedule? Why not updating every 3 months?

By think there is some change in the schedule for the last one which was supposed to be done in the month of April, but still didn’t take place. I think Google has stopped the process for a while to teach a lesson to the PR crazy webmasters. Google is already aware that the some PR hungry webmasters use to buy and sell links to get a good PR and we all know that it is an illegal practice.

So I think this is a warning to such webmasters who all are involved in wrong tactics to attain high PR. Google just wanted to change the way that webmasters are interpreting “what PR is”!! So, as I wrote in my previous articles and also as of today that “Content is King”. Focus more on the information that you want to share and there would be no looking back for you. Also there are many uncertainties when the next PR update would be as they don’t like the people who buy/sell links.

So guys it’s high time to be on track and follow all the legal and legitimate way to earn good PR. And we hope that the next update would be soon enough. If anyone is sure when the next PR update would be then kindly share with us.

Top 5 WordPress Plugin For Better OnPage SEO

May 21st, 2011 2 comments

From my point of view building a site is damn easy, but frequently updating and maintaining it is a whole lot of boring stuff. Likewise if you have your WordPress site up and running, then you must surely ask yourself “What Next!!”  You need to work hard to get your site indexed by the search engines and ranked in the search results.

So to make your task simpler, I have select top 5 SEO plugins, which you can integrate with your blog/site and get your site noticed. Have a look at them and kindly provide your feedbacks on the same.

1.  Google XML Sitemaps: This is one of the best SEO plugin for WordPress that I have come across. You just need to activate it and forget the rest. It will do its function automatically. Basically this plugin generates XML sitemap of your site which in turn helps the search engine spiders to better index you site. After that whenever you make any change to the site or add content to it, the plugin will itself update the sitemap and notify Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines of the updates that you encountered on your site. It also supports multiple WordPress generated pages and custom URL’s.

2. All In One SEO: More than 7 Million downloads since the release of this plugin. Means definitely this plugin has lots to attract the user. If you have a WordPress site and you want to get it optimized then this is the only damn plugin that you would require. It is an all-rounder in doing SEO activities. It automatically optimize your web page, add titles to the search engines, generates the Meta tags and also avoid any duplicate content that is typically found on WordPress sites. If you are a beginner, then get it installed and forget all. And if you are an advanced user then the plugin would be your cover. Check it on your own.

3.  SEOPressor: I personally have likeliness for this plugin. It will make your on-page optimization a baby job. The working of it is straight forward. You need to enter the keyword on which you wish to rank your page/post. The plugin will then come up with keyword density, missing H1, H2 and H3 tags, set alt tags for the images, make your keywords bold, underline or italics. In short, if you want to top Google, get this. It makes you feel easier with its firing features.

4. SEO SearchTerms Tagging: This plugin helps to increase your websites SERP by concreting your on-page SEO. E.g. If my site is listed for a search term say “Wordpress SEO Plugins”, then this plugin will automatically create a link for that keyword and display it in the sidebar, thus interlinking your page and strengthens your on-page SEO.

5. Sitemap Generator: It is not same as XML sitemap generator, but it can generate sitemap on any page you specify. You can customize the plugin as per your requirements. It supports multi-level categories and pages, you can choose what to display and in what order, also it supports permalink.

So, guys this us all from my side. If you come across any other worthy SEO WordPress Plugin then do update on this list in the form of your valuable comments. Looking to hear more soon.
