SMO With Google Buzz

March 20th, 2010 No comments

The latest trend in the social-network market is Google Buzz. Still not many people are aware what Buzz is, and unknown about the features and advantages of Google Buzz!! So let’s have a close look at what Google Buzz is and how it can help us.!!

Google Buzz

Social Media Optimization

Google Buzz is basically a social networking and messaging tool from Google, integrated with Gmail. User can share information, photos, videos, links ans share status message and comments in form of conversation, which are visible in the users inbox. Buzz allows the users to share the content posted publicly ie. to the whole world or privately ie. to close group of friends. Presently Flickr, Google reader, YouTube,  Blogger, Twitter and Picasa are integrated with Buzz.

The Google Buzz launch has driven a criticism that it is violating people’s privacy by exposing their most frequent contacts, but Buzz also has certain eye-catching features that differentiate it from other social networking sites.

Lets have a look at some of those features :

1)     Gmail Integration : Buzz is integrated with Gmail, so if you have a Gmail account you can start Buzz instantaneously without worrying about registration, user-names and passwords. Thus this integration will force the people to use Buzz whether they want to or not. For some it’s not desirable to fill their inbox with buzzing messages, while for some its a convenience that you can check mails as well as respond to social network messages from a single place.

2)     Buzz Map : For mobile users Buzz offers enhanced geotagged Buzzez. Rather than just showing the latitude/longitude coo-ordinates, it is able to snap those to place, names and then takes context-aware action depending on where you are. It also show Buzz chat bubbles on Google map to highlight what is happening around you.

3)     Finding People To Follow : Buzz integration with Gmail, and its auto-follow feature allows you to find and follow the people easily which are among your contacts. Through Buzz you can also see the comments that other people are posting on your friends Buzz, so you can easily find and follow new contacts.

4)     Internet Integration : Buzz is integrated with Blogger, Google Reader, Flickr, YouTube, Picasa and Twitter. So anything you post there is directly updated on Buzz. It is the most open social network so more integration with other sites and tools for it would be coming soon in the market.

5)     Picture Viewer : Buzz also has a photo viewer application that allows to embed and view full size photos. Just we need to click on the thumbnails and the photo will get enlarged.

6)     Endless Characters : Buzz has no limitation on the message length that you can post as Twitter has. So there is flexibility to write longer post, share photos, and also embed YouTube videos.

7)     Comments : Users can post comments on the Buzzez in real time which we can say is like a online chat. Users can have discussions regarding any topic, picture, video and easily share their thoughts. Also it identifies and flog post the comments that are popular and recommended, and send it to you so that you don’t miss the show.

8)     Permalinks : Each buzz and the related comments are a web-page in itself. You can mail, link and easily share Buzzez with other people.

Thus Google Buzz carries all the desired features of the social market. You can easily share your information with your contacts and can get response in real time. Due to its integration with other sties you can reach huge crowd from a single place. It also gives you the flexibility to share messages of longer length, photos, videos and links. Thus if you have the ability and capability to use the tool in effective and efficient way it can do wonders to you at no cost. The feature is all free.

Thus its a most open social network where you can easily find and follow friends. Also within short time Buzz might also be integrated with other websites and certain tools might come to give the users more flexibility in using the Buzz.

Thus due to the attractive features listed above I personally feel that all should atleast experience what Google Buzz is all about and then only they would come to know the benefits and the advantages of it. Rest discussion I now leave on to the readers. The can provide valuable information regarding the same in the form of comments and spread the knowledge to be useful to other people.

Why Unique And Quality Content ?

Original blog article for good SEO

Original Content for SEO

Its rightly said in the search engine optimization block that “Content Is King”. This term is coined a hell lot number of times in the virtual world, then you can count. Let us have a look why is it so??

Content is father of SEO. The search engines are really carving and hungry for unique, good and quality content. If you feed him the desired food, he will help you to achieve your desired result. Thus make him happy, to be happy. Thus once the search engine finds the unique and quality content it will help you to achieve a good page rank and make your way ahead of many of the competitors, and this is what the dream of all the website owners.

To understand the concept easily just think in a way that search engines are humans. When we humans visit the site, the main purpose is to gain information and the lust to find something new which we cannot find on other sites. If we find that the site has no original content and the information displayed on the site is duplicate and is found more easily and in attractive way on other site, then we hardly pay any attention to such site and never return to it again. And  our goal is to attract the visitors so that they come again and again for information to our site. Thus the search engines perform as human brains, if the find quality and unique content on the site they built a fruitful relation with us and help us achieve good page rank. Thus content can can also be said as “Father of SEO”.

When writing a content you need to take care of few things :

-        look what your target audience are and what they expect from you to deliver.
-        Focus and be creative in selecting the keywords, as they are the key to success and broader the keywords, less competitive they would be.
-        The search engines and people are constantly in search of unique content but be sure it’s relevant to your site and page.
-        Avoid any sort of grammatical error and mis-spellings. People get turned-off and might not trust you as much as you expected.

Below are the 5 steps to generate great content :

-        Study well your target audience. Try to know what their needs and problems are thus focus your content more on hoe you can help to solve their problem or help them out.
-        Have some research on how the target market looks for you and choose the keywords based on the analysis done.
-        Never ever have the same information as others have, always go for fresh unique and quality content.
-        Support your content with wikis, blogs, forums, podcasts, videos, pdf, training material and provide them in a way that a consumer can easily consume and can easily understand it and use it. Keep it simple.
-        Put enough efforts to promote the content through RSS, newletter, newsgroups, blogs, discussion forums , social media sites etc.

Thus if you focus only on providing the unique content to the visitors, keep the avove mentioned points in mind the outcome that you would be like :

-        It will keep the readers engaged, and will also increase the chances of returning visitors.
-        It will help you to increase the traffic to your site and also increasing the page rank in search engines.
-        Finally it will also help you in building quality backlinks, as the other webmasters would also be interested in joining hands with you to get fresh, quality and unique content.

Thus the basics never change. Unique content was the key to effective SEO in past, it’s still the same in present, and will continue to be in future too.
